RESUME
La République Démocratique du Congo recèle un potentiel considérable pour s’affirmer comme un acteur géopolitique de premier plan en Afrique. Dotée d’une superficie de 2 345 000 km², d’une population estimée à plus de cent millions d’habitants, et d’un sous-sol riche en ressources stratégiques telles que le cobalt, le cuivre, le coltan, l’or et les diamants, ainsi que de forêts tropicales, la République Démocratique du Congo (RDC) est susceptible de constituer un pôle d’influence régionale et mondiale significatif. Néanmoins, ce potentiel reste sous-exploité en raison d’un ensemble de facteurs structurels, tant internes qu’externes : corruption systémique, dépendance économique, conflits récurrents, carences institutionnelles, tutelle économique internationale et interventions géopolitiques étrangères. Les analyses effectuées révèlent que la RDC demeure géopolitiquement vulnérable, oscillant entre une situation de dépendance et un état de fragilité, et se trouve exposée aux logiques impérialistes ainsi qu’aux ambitions régionales de ses pays voisins.

ABSTRACT
The Democratic Republic of Congohas considerable potential to assert itself as aleading geopolitical player in Africa. With an area of2,345,000 km², an estimated population of over 100 millioninhabitants, and a subsoil rich in strategic resources such ascobalt, copper, coltan, gold, and diamonds, as well as tropical forests, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has the potential tobecome a significant regional and global power. Nevertheless,this potential remains under-exploited due to a combination ofstructural factors, both internal and external: systemic corruption, economic dependence, recurrent conflicts, institutional deficiencies, international economic tutelageand foreign geopolitical interventions. The analysescarried out reveal that the DRC remains geopolitically vulnerable, oscillatingbetween a situation of dependence and a state of fragility, and is exposedto imperialist logic and the regional ambitions of its neighboring countries.
