RESUME
Cet article pose le problème de la détérioration profonde de l’espace politique et de la démocratie en RDC dans un contexte où la participation citoyenne est de mieux en mieux comprise dans le monde et sa pratique se développe de plus en plus en RDC. En guise de piste palliative, il est proposé un renforcement de l’éducation civique pour toutes les forces vives de la nation congolaise pour une meilleure compréhension et participation citoyenne au processus de démocratisation. Il appert nécessaire de mobiliser la population afin qu’elle acquiert cette culture citoyenne et un engagement responsable dans la participation aux différents aspects de la vie sociale et démocratique.

ABSTRACT
This paper raises the problem of the profound deterioration of political space and democracy in the DRC in a context where citizen participation is increasingly well understood throughout the world and its practice is developing more and more in the DRC. As a palliative measure, it is proposed that civic education be strengthened for all the living forces of the Congolese nation to ensure better understanding and citizen participation in the democratisation process. The population needs to be mobilised so that it acquires a civic culture and a responsible commitment to participating in the various aspects of social and democratic life.
